Domains and Subdomains in New Kajabi

Frequently Asked Questions

Setup your custom domain in New Kajabi via CloudFlare: https://learn.kajabi.com/resources/7aqjupfibmgywskkowuoui/

Note: CloudFlare account is required.

Check the following:

For CloudFlare:

1. Make sure that SSL was set to Full after the nameserver is pointed to CloudFlare. (after 24 hours)

2. Check Page rules.

3. Disable the Rocket Loader, Brotli in the Speed tab.

4. Make sure they are not using any 3rd party SSL on their domain provider.

5. Check if CloudFlare certificate is expired.

Note: If you have checked all the domain config and still getting the unsecured error, inspect the homepage element, make sure that no images or links, using just http on its link. Our system will detect that as unsecured URL causing for your homepage to have that unsecured message.

Yes, you can! Just create a new CNAME for your subdomain and point to endpoint.mykajabi.com (for CloudFlare), don't touch the www CNAME, as that's for your root domain.

There are two ways to resolve this:

1. Use the Heroku tool following this guide: https://byron.mykajabi.com/p/domain-release

2. If that is still not working, contact the previous site support (where the domain is pointed) have them release/purge/delete the domain from their system so it can be used by other sites like Kajabi.

Yes, you can! Do a URL forwarding from your domain provider where you'll point your domain2.com to your New Kajabi custom domain.com site.

Note: Not all provider supports URL forwarding/pointing to HTTPS. Check with your DNS provider or domain host.

A top-level domain (TLD) is the last segment of the domain name. The TLD is the letters immediately following the final dot in an Internet address. TLDs are supported in New Kajabi.

Examples of some of the popular TLDs include .com, .org, .net, .gov, .biz and .edu, and a lot more.

In CloudFlare, check if the SSL had propagated, usually within 24-48 hrs. You can also switch from Off to Full. On your Kajabi domain settings, re-add your domain or force add and see if that turns to the green check icon.

The supported SSL by Kajabi is the one from CloudFlare. Any third party SSL certificates will not work with Kajabi.

Some sites are blocked or not accessible in China, it has nothing to do with your domain setup, but rather a demographic restriction.

(The only assurance you can give is make sure the domain works with or without www/https, for all other customers outside China)

Configure your nameserver to where the domain is hosted.

Set back the domain to Godaddy (CNAME/A record set to default) and have Squarespace release so it can be used to another service like Kajabi. If you're going to use the CloudFlare domain, the nameserver in Godaddy must point to the CloudFlare nameservers. If you're going to use the new domain setup, the nameserver must be set to Godaddy's default nameserver, and just update the CNAME ssl.kajabi.com.

1. Remove the A record with www in Crazy domains.

2. Add the CNAME www that points to endpoint.mykajabi.com.

Things to note for the Heroku tool to work:

1. Follow the release process here: CLICK HERE

2. Need the @TXT record, low time TTL for fast propagation time.

3. Need www on the domain release screen.
